It's appraching... the general election is scheduled for 5th May 2005. But how will you vote?
Steve, a colleague, sent me a link to Who Should You Vote For? Go on, try it out!
There seem to be a lack of questions relating to ethical or
environmental issues though, such as international trading, recycling,
incineration, GM food, public transport, so I think it would be very
hard for the site to suggest someone should vote Green. Climate change
is the biggest threat to the world... perhaps many people don't get the
importance of it. Anyway, if these issues are important to you and the
site suggested you'd vote Liberal Democrat, please think again!

Neighbours, if you are reading this, the reason for the noise is 'cause I like DJing! I've always been into music and records from being about 3, so at about 16 I started using 'proper' DJ equipment to feed my fascination... |

Go to your computer now, Mr. Blair. Look at the reality behind all this
sanctimonious wringing of hands over the plight of the Iraqi people.
Read what your American Republican friends are really intending. Please.
Then, read what the Project for the New American Century is all about. |

I started out at around 7 years old with a Sinclair ZX Spectrum +2. I was fascinated by the thing, the anticipation as games loaded from cassette taking 5 minutes, the strange game control keys (Q, A, O, P and Space usually) and limited graphics abilities. I spent many hours transfixed by it. Curiosity got the better of me, and I became more interested in how things worked as they did. I starting to learn programming with the aid of long code listings found in magazines at the time. Those were the days! |

Aviation is the fastest growing source of the greenhouse gas emissions which are fuelling devastating climate change effects, poses the single greatest threat to human civilisation as we know it.
Did you know that air fares are artifically low, as aircraft fuel is tax exempt? Tony Blair has been trying to sound tough on the effects of climate change recently, but was eager to be seen at the launch party of the latest super jumbo plane by Airbus. Hundreds of these planes will be built, each carrying up to 800 people. The tax payer will pay the real cost though - through subsidising ticket prices and having to clean up the emissions - before it's too late?
I urge anyone else concerned about airport expansion to join me by visiting this site and taking the pledge themselves. |
